Tattoo removal in Nerja
The Q-Switched laser breaks the ink particles into pieces small enough for the body to eliminate them. It is a gradual process: each session lightens the design a little more, and the total number depends on the colour, age and depth of the ink.

How does it work?
Short sessions, spaced apart, with simple aftercare.
Initial assessment
We assess the colour, age, size and skin type, and estimate the number of sessions needed.
Laser session
We apply the Q-Switched laser to the tattoo. The session takes just a few minutes, with cooling used for comfort.
Recovery
The area remains red for a few hours. Aftercare involves a regenerating cream and strict sun protection.
Follow-up sessions
We repeat treatment every 6–8 weeks to give the body time to eliminate the fragmented ink.

How many sessions do I need to remove a tattoo?

Between 5 and 10 sessions on average. Black and older tattoos respond more quickly; coloured tattoos and dense inks require more sessions.
Does it hurt?

It feels similar to a rubber band snapping against the skin. The session is short, and we cool the area before and afterwards.
Does it leave a scar?

With the correct settings and appropriate aftercare, no. It is essential to keep the area out of the sun between sessions.
How often are the sessions?

Every 6–8 weeks, to give the lymphatic system time to eliminate the fragmented pigment.
Can I have treatment in summer?

It is possible, but the area must remain covered and protected from the sun. For areas with a lot of sun exposure, we usually recommend starting in autumn.
Can a tattoo be lightened so it can be covered with another one?

Yes, this is one of its most common uses: 2 or 3 sessions lighten the tattoo enough for a tattoo artist to create a cover-up.
Which tattoo colours are hardest to remove?

Black and dark blue respond best to the Q-Switched laser. Green, yellow or very light shades are harder and may not fade completely; at the assessment we tell you what result is realistic for your tattoo.
Can a tattoo on the face or neck be removed?

Yes, with settings adapted to the area and always after assessing the skin. On visible areas, sun protection between sessions is essential to avoid pigmentation.
What aftercare should I follow after each session?

Keep the area clean, apply the recommended healing cream, do not pick any scabs and avoid sun, pools and saunas for the first few days. Between sessions, use high sun protection if the area is exposed.
